The Public Service Commission (PSC)  published the written test results of the 34th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations with a total of 18,693 candidates coming out successful. More then 40thousand candidades were sat for 34th BCS written exam, a record for any BCS written stage.

The PSC has published the result provisionally and it has the right to modify the result if required.


This time the passing ratio is very poor. Specially on technical cadre.

35th bcs preliminary exam schedule

35th bcs preliminary exam schedule

Bangladesh Public Service Commission have published the probable date of 35th bcs preliminary exam. The preliminary exam will held on 6th February 2015, instead of December 2014.
Candidate have to sit for 200 marks  Preliminary exam.

From this year, the marks in preliminary exams have been raised to 200 from 100 and test time has been increased to two hours from one hour.

Through changes in rules, pass marks in preliminary exams, held under multiple choice questions (MCQ), has been increased to 50 percent from 40 percent.

However, pass marks in written exams remain unchanged at 50 percent. But for technical and both cadre candidate have to get at least 50% marks on their post related subject in order to qualify for technical/professional job.

The online application time for 35th BCS has over. Total 244107 candidates have applied.

The tests will kick off simultaneously at 9am on Feb 6 in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet and Rangpur.

A man lives on the  tenth floor of a  building. Every day he takes the elevator to go down  to the ground floor to go to work or go to shopping. 5 Pirates Puzzle - Solution

The Puzzle:
5 pirates of different ages have a treasure of 100 gold coins.

On their ship, they decide to split the coins using this scheme:

The oldest pirate proposes how to share the coins, and ALL pirates (including the oldest) vote for or against it.
