35th bcs preliminary exam schedule
Bangladesh Public Service Commission have published the probable date of 35th bcs preliminary exam. The preliminary exam will held on 6th February 2015, instead of December 2014.
Candidate have to sit for 200 marks Preliminary exam.
From this year, the marks in preliminary exams have been raised to 200 from 100 and test time has been increased to two hours from one hour.
Through changes in rules, pass marks in preliminary exams, held under multiple choice questions (MCQ), has been increased to 50 percent from 40 percent.
However, pass marks in written exams remain unchanged at 50 percent. But for technical and both cadre candidate have to get at least 50% marks on their post related subject in order to qualify for technical/professional job.
A media statement from the PSC on Thursday said the decision had been taken to 'ensure proper examinations management' for a record 244,107 candidates.
The tests will kick off simultaneously at 9am on Feb 6 in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet and Rangpur.
This time the two-hour preliminary multiple-choice examinations will carry 200 marks.
Seat allocations would be announced later, the PSC said.
